Data Science Day

ABOUT

The University of Maryland Data Science Day brings together researchers analyzing and interpreting massive amounts of complex data. The event is open to the general public.

In a diverse range of fields including computer vision, language and speech processing, robotics, astronomy, medicine, and health, the need to analyze and interpret data has become increasingly critical. The Data Science Day at the University of Maryland is an interdisciplinary convention where scientists developing the mathematical theories that extract insights from data gather to share their work.

UMD's Data Science Day will include:

  • Keynote Talk by Professors David Donoho and Yannis Kevrekidis
  • Poster Session with prizes awarded to Undergraduate and Graduate students
  • Talks by leaders in Data Science
